HARRISBURG, PA — Customers using vehicles through two Easton-based car subscription companies are being urged by Pennsylvania’s attorney general to verify ownership and contact state officials following the owner’s bankruptcy filing.

Attorney General Dave Sunday said his office is reviewing numerous consumer complaints involving Your Cause Auto Inc. and Your Cause Auto Services LLC, which offered vehicle subscription programs.
A vehicle subscription program typically allows customers to pay a recurring fee to use a vehicle instead of purchasing or leasing it outright, often bundling costs like maintenance and insurance.
Bankruptcy Raises Ownership Questions
According to the Attorney General’s Office, former owner Shawn Pail recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Chapter 7 bankruptcy is a legal process in which a business or individual liquidates assets to pay off debts, which can complicate who legally owns property such as vehicles.
