Cape Coral man arrested for theft of HVAC equipment from employer

CAPE CORAL, Florida — A Cape Coral man has been arrested for allegedly stealing HVAC equipment valued at nearly $2,000 from his employer, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

On March 11, 2026, officers responded to a reported theft at a storage facility on NE Pine Island Road. Surveillance footage showed Cristian Kevin Felipe Ramos, a 23-year-old employee of an HVAC service company in Fort Myers, driving a marked work van into the facility around 6:30 a.m. Ramos was seen unloading items from the van into storage units and was later confronted with the footage, which he acknowledged, stated the department.

Investigators recovered HVAC materials, including flex ducting, mastic buckets, straps, and insulated boards, valued at approximately $1,985. A search warrant executed that evening led to the recovery of the stolen property, which was identified as belonging to Ramos’s employer…
