CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man charged in a deadly shooting at a north Charlotte motel in June 2024 was sentenced to prison on Thursday, court records show.
Andrew Poole pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon in relation to the killing of Howard Page at the Budget Inn on Old Interstate Road on June 20, 2024. Poole was originally charged with murder but accepted a plea deal to the lesser charge on Thursday. He was sentenced to 33-52 months in prison.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported shooting at the hotel around 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Page, 35, suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries…
