What started as another late-night at Ridge Road Tavern in Parma turned into a crime scene on Tuesday, after a fight outside the bar left two people stabbed and two others in police custody.
What police say
Parma officers were called to Ridge Road Tavern at 5587 Ridge Road on Tuesday for reports of a fight. When they arrived, they found a 43-year-old man who was conscious and told officers he had been stabbed. Police put on tourniquets and gave first aid before the man was taken to MetroHealth with stab wounds to his left arm and left leg, along with other injuries, according to WKYC.
A second victim, a 39-year-old man, was treated at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center, WKYC reported.
Suspects detained
After talking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance video, investigators identified two suspects at the scene, a 23-year-old man from Sheffield Lake and a 24-year-old man from Cleveland. Both were taken to the Parma jail. At the time of the report, police said “the male with the knife had not been located,” according to WKYC.
