KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An I-640 exit ramp in Knoxville will be closed indefinitely after a tractor-trailer overturned Thursday evening.
The Knoxville Police Department announced around 9 p.m. that the I-640 West ramp to I-75 North was closed and asked drivers to seek alternate routes. There is no timetable for when the roadway may reopen.

Images shared by TDOT spokesperson Mark Nagi showed that the vehicle was carrying a large quantity of tubing at the time of the crash. It’s not yet clear if the driver was injured.
