CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — Bomb squad personnel responded to Anderson County on Thursday after what appeared to be military explosives were found near a park, all of which were later determined to be inert and pose no threat to the public.
Anderson County deputies and the Knox County Bomb Squad responded to the area near Bull Run Park after a fisherman found what appeared to be a military explosive device. During the response, more items resembling military ordnance were located in the general area.

The area was secured while authorities conducted an investigation and it was determined that all of the items were determined to be inert.
Officials later cleared the scene and Bull Run Park was fully reopened to the public.
