Suspect who led East TN officers on cross-county chase had 1.5 lbs of meth in the car: warrant

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The suspect in a police chase that took officers and deputies from multiple law enforcement agencies across East Tennessee Thursday had almost a pound and a half of meth in the car at the time, according to warrants obtained by WVLT News.

Mista McCary is accused of leading officers on a chase from Sevier County all the way to Loudon County, via I-40 and I-75 through Knoxville. During the chase, McCary was spotted throwing something off a Loudon County bridge into the Tennessee River.
