Orlando City Council Declines Landmark Designation for Lubbe House at Lake Eola

Orlando City Council voted 6–1 this week to deny landmark designation for the nearly 100-year-old home, with District 4 Commissioner Patty Sheehan casting the lone vote in favor of historic protection.

The decision means the Mediterranean-style home, built in 1927 at the corner of Rosalind Avenue and Central Boulevard, will not receive historic protection from demolition under the city’s preservation rules.
