TOLEDO, Ohio — A shooting victim is expected to survive their injuries after a Wednesday night shooting, Toledo police said in a report.
According to law enforcement, officers responded to the area of Westway Street and Eleanor Avenue at approximately 8:22 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Toledo police said they found evidence of a shooting in the 1400 block of Schuyler Road. However, police did not say a victim was found at the scene.
About an hour later, police said they received a call from a hospital that they had received a walk-in gunshot wound victim. The victim’s account to police placed him on or near Eleanor Avenue at the time of the initial shooting report, police said…
