Update 1:55 p.m. on 3-19-2025: Madison County Sheriff’s office confirms that this crash was deadly. The sole occupant of the vehicle was 33-year-old Clayton Wood of Chittenango, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation has shown that Wood’s vehicle was travelling Eastbound on Cottons Rd. when it failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, exiting the northern shoulder of the road and striking a large tree.
