LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – A Leland town council member violated town procurement policy after requesting a laptop computer to conduct town business, according to an investigation by the town attorney.
Councilman Frank Pendleton requested a laptop in January, and town council approved the request. Town Manager David Hollis told Pendleton the laptop would take 13 weeks to arrive.
