Mamdani taps ‘trash revolution’ alum to lead Department of Sanitation

Gregory Anderson, who most recently served as deputy director of state operations for Gov. Kathy Hochul, will lead the Department of Sanitation as its newest commissioner, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Wednesday.

Anderson is returning to DSNY after spending nearly 10 years with the agency, Mamdani said in a news release.
