Prosciutto di San Daniele, $22: You know that feeling when you walk into a bar and discover a hidden treasure on the menu? I had that feeling recently at a new bar that opened in the metro, where I discovered the prosciutto di San Daniele from Friuli in northeastern Italy with thin slices of prosciutto di San Daniele, freshly grated horseradish on top, houseβmade grissini and a dab of Irish butter. Wrap the prosciutto around the grissini, add a smidge of butter and enjoy. This is a dish that has lived rent-free in my head since I first ate it, and Iβve had it three more times since.
