HINDS COUNTY – The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office unveiled a new monument Thursday honoring deputies and jailers who died in the line of duty.
According to Sheriff Tyree Jones, the Fallen Deputies & Jailers Monument serves as a permanent tribute to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the community.
“This memorial stands as a lasting reminder that while their watch has ended, their legacy lives on,” Jones said in a statement. “Every visitor who walks these grounds will know that heroes served here and that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.”…
