SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — While a mountain lion might be more expected in the mountains or at least far from a Midwestern city with well over 200,000 people, one was nevertheless spotted lurking in more than one location in central Sioux Falls Wednesday.
South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks confirmed that the animal in photos and video sent to KELOLAND News was indeed a mountain lion; the animal was along the Big Sioux River in central Sioux Falls just north of Avera McKennan Hospital.
Additionally, surveillance video at the nearby home of a KELOLAND News employee also captured a lion. Game, Fish and Parks believes this cat was the same as the one along the river…
