Tip led Seattle police to where missing person’s body was found in Georgetown

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a reported homicide after a body was found Thursday in the 1000 block of South Bailey Street, according to police.

Officers were seen moving behind a Bank of America building, where they closed off part of the area and erected a tent as the investigation continued.

Police said the case began as a missing person investigation, but detectives received a tip that the person was in the area where the body was found.

There were trauma wounds to the man’s body, and they are ruling the death a homicide, police said…
