A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 7:32 p.m. for dense fog until 10 p.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
“Local surface observations and webcams are showing areas of fog across Western NY this evening. Some of this fog is locally dense, with visibilities down to a quarter of a mile at times. Dense fog will last the longest for areas of higher terrain south of I90. Conditions are expected to improve later in the evening toward the I90 corridor and lower elevations,” states the weather service.
