CHARLESTON , S.C. (WCIV) — Charleston County is moving closer to starting long-planned improvements to Highway 41, with county leaders voting to use eminent domain to secure land needed before construction can begin.
At its meeting on Thursday night, the Charleston County Council finance committee discussed how to continue right-of-way acquisitions. Council members voted to approve moving forward with eminent domain to obtain the property required for the project.
