COLUMBIA, S.C. — One person is dead following an early morning house fire in Columbia, officials say.
Columbia-Richland Fire crews were dispatched at around 5:40 a.m. to a reported house fire on Harmon Road. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames throughout the residence.
Crews entered the home from the rear of the property and worked their way through the structure, extinguishing the flames as they advanced toward the front of the house…
