‘Operation Smoke & Mirrors’: Dozens arrested in multi-agency drug bust targeting Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton area

CLEVELAND — A monthslong, multi-agency drug investigation targeting trafficking networks in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood has led to dozens of arrests and the seizure of narcotics and firearms, the Cleveland Division of Police announced Friday.

The operation, dubbed “Operation Smoke & Mirrors,” was launched in fall 2025 by Cleveland police in partnership with regional and federal law enforcement agencies, including the Ohio High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area initiative.

Investigators focused on the distribution of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine in the Clark-Fulton area, conducting months of surveillance, search warrants and interviews across multiple jurisdictions…
