SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Roseboro man has been charged with felony involuntary manslaughter in the death of his father following an altercation in Clinton last year.
Sampson County deputies responded to a residence at 125 Manuel Lane on Dec. 26, 2025 after a report of a deceased individual. Officers found 54-year-old Charles Frankie Long inside the home.
Investigators said Long had reportedly been involved in a physical confrontation the previous evening with his son, 29-year-old James Lockamy of Microwave Tower Road.
