Ghost gun on a Fresno bus ends with prison time: DOJ

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno man who was seen with a ghost gun on a Fresno bus was sentenced to over six years in jail, according to the federal Department of Justice.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Felipe Macias was sentenced on Thursday for being a felon in possession of ammunition. The court was told that Macias was seen on a city bus in Fresno with the grip of a firearm coming out of his waistband. Undercover officers managed to stop Macias in a smoke shop and recovered a black “ghost gun” with no serial number.

Officials say Macias was a convicted felon on post-release community supervision. He pleaded guilty on Sept. 29, 2025.
