GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — One person has died as a result of a fiery crash on Interstate 40 West in Greensboro on Wednesday, according to the Greensboro Police Department.
At around 12:09 p.m. on Wednesday, first responders came to Exit 208 for Sandy Ridge Road after getting a report of a crash with serious injuries.

Traffic camera footage from Wednesday showed a large vehicle fire near the median of the I-40 as a result of the crash.
Investigators say that a Honda CRV was going the wrong-way off the ramp of Interstate 40 from Sandy Ridge Road at a high rate of speed when it crashed into two other cars. The impact caused two of the vehicles to catch fire.
I-40 West was closed at NC 68, and the left two lanes of I-40 East were also closed as a result of the crash and as crews battled the blaze.
Police say the driver of the Honda CRV was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the deceased driver has not been confirmed…
