Police forced to issue March Madness plea after historic collapse

The Greensboro Police Department has asked fans to refrain from contacting them about their ruined March Madness brackets after North Carolina’s historic first-round NCAA Tournament loss to VCU .

With March Madness in full swing, No. 6 UNC’s season came to an abrupt end on Thursday night after a surprising defeat by No. 11 VCU in overtime, 82-78. At one point, the Tar Heels held a comfortable lead of 56-37 with just under 15 minutes remaining, seemingly securing their spot in the second round.
