The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Public Integrity Unit has agreed to review a complaint alleging misappropriation of public funds by the city of Inglewood.
The complaint centers around a $20 million payment issued to Hollywood Park Management Company (HP) for alleged infrastructure improvements related to the Hollywood Park/SoFi Stadium development without the appearance of a public vote.
“I am writing as a concerned resident of Inglewood to respectfully request that the Public Integrity Division review and investigate what appears to be the gifting or forgiveness of approximately $20 million in public funds by the City of Inglewood to Mr. Stan Kroenke, owner of the Los Angeles Rams and developer of the SoFi Stadium complex,” wrote Marvin McCoy in a Mar. 13 email that included all members of the Inglewood City Council and treasurer…
