LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The U.S. Department of Justice has asked a federal judge in Louisville to dismiss, with prejudice, the criminal case against two former LMPD officers.
Joshua Jaynes and Kyle Meany were charged in connection with the botched raid that resulted in the death of Breonna Taylor. In a motion filed Friday, federal prosecutors say they are seeking a dismissal “in the interest of justice.”
They were charged with deprivation of rights under color of law.
