The San Joaquin County Probation Department partnered with the District Attorney’s Office Investigators to conduct Operation STRAP last weekend. The operation focused on enforcing firearm laws and ensuring compliance with Proposition 63, which requires individuals prohibited from owning firearms to relinquish them.
The operation resulted in 3 field contacts, 4 compliance searches, 2 arrests, and 2 citations. In one case, officers found four unsecured loaded firearms, including a “ghost gun,” leading to the arrest of a female probationer.
