JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted fugitive who is considered armed and dangerous in James City County.
The James City County Police Department is actively searching for Kevin Lavaughn Christian, 50, who also goes by the names “Kelvin” and “Squirrel.” Authorities said Christian removed his court-ordered ankle monitor and fled supervision. He is currently wanted for a probation violation, as well as petit larceny.
Investigators reported that Christian has made concerning statements, including threats to harm himself rather than return to jail. He has also allegedly indicated intentions to commit robberies and provoke a violent encounter with police.
