ZACHARY, La. (WAFB) – Detectives with the Zachary Police Department escorted Michael Jay to jail around midnight Thursday after the truck driver waived extradition and was transported from Oklahoma to Zachary.
WAFB was the only station there as 38-year-old Michael Jay was brought to a waiting police car after a long drive back from Oklahoma.
Jay is accused of abducting the teen from her home on Munson Road in Zachary Monday night. Investigators said they were able to ping a phone after monitoring online communication and seeing who she was last talking to.
