EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Gila National Forest has implemented forest-wide Stage 1 fire restrictions starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 23.
Officials said that heightened fire danger from an unusually warm and dry winter was the reason for the decision.

These restrictions will continue through Sept. 30 unless rescinded or extended.
