Two fallen Iowa soldiers return home, community lines streets to honor them

DES MOINES, Iowa — Two Iowa soldiers who were killed in a drone attack overseas have returned home, as community members gathered along metro streets to honor their sacrifice.

Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, of Waukee, and Sgt. Declan Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, were among six Army reservists killed in an Iranian drone attack in Kuwait on March 1. Both soldiers were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command out of Des Moines.
