Green Bay auto repair shop sees spike in business after big snowfall

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Winter weather isn’t just damaging roads across northeast Wisconsin; it’s also taking a toll on vehicles as auto repair shops reported a surge in cold-weather-related issues.

Last neighborhoods plowed out in Door County

At Auto Select East in Green Bay, manager Jaramey Plager said service volume is up about 20% following the latest storm, in comparison to the previous week.

“We’re definitely seeing the effects of the snow,” Plager said. “We’re seeing a lot of starting problems, alternators, batteries, things like that.”

Other common issues Plager has seen lately include snow and ice buildup underneath vehicles, leading to suspension problems…
