Robert Plant fans who wanted to hear the old stuff got their wish right away on Thursday night.
Near the start of their concert at the Majestic Theatre, Plant and his new band, Saving Grace, played “The Cuckoo,” a folk song at least as old as the United States that was first recorded 100 years ago.
Plant also sang a few old songs by Led Zeppelin, the world-conquering hard rock band he fronted in the ‘70s. The first, “Ramble On,” brought the sold-out audience to its feet and drew some arena-sized whoops and screams in the downtown theater…
