San Antonio shopping center The Rim is home to a massive Bass Pro Shops location where you can buy everything from boats to hunting gear to everyday apparel. Soon, customers will also be able to partake in a barbecue experience as the store adds a new on-site restaurant.
A construction project for a new Hard Eight BBQ was filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Thursday, March 19. According to the project filing, the new addition will cost an estimated $5 million to construct, with work expected to run from April 2, 2026 to November 1, 2026.
Hard Eight BBQ has five locations that are mostly concentrated around the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The restaurants are known for serving up Texas-style barbecue favorites, including brisket, sausage and pulled pork, with side of Southern hospitality.
