Tulsa DA dismisses murder charge after 1997 cold case arrest

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office recently announced they solved another cold case, but, the same week, charges were dropped in a previous unrelated cold case.

In November of last year, the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 62-year old Angie Cutnose, who was charged in a 1997 murder near West Tulsa. The 32-year old victim was shot in the chest and killed while visiting a home in Sand Springs, and Cutnose was a suspect early on in the investigation.

At the time of the arrest last year, Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado said it came down to old-fashioned police work. However, according to court documents, the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion to dismiss the murder charge against Cutnose on March 17 due to insufficient evidence…
