Shelter-in-place alert lifted in Fountain neighborhood, juvenile arrested

A juvenile was arrested following a shelter-in-place alert that impacted a Fountain neighborhood Thursday night into Friday morning.

The alert was issued at about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Fountain Police Department is reporting the situation started at about 10:47 p.m. when officers were called to the 7000 block of Araia Dr. for a reported disturbance. The neighborhood is in the area of Fountain Mesa Road north of Comanche Village Drive.

“Several callers called 9-1-1 stating there was a group of juveniles threatening people in the neighborhood and pointing guns at them,” a spokesperson for the Fountain Police Department wrote to News5. “When officers arrived, the suspects had gone back in their home and refused to come out.”…
