CTE students get firsthand experience with 14 piglets

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —For Sioux Falls students who live in the city, their experiences with farm animals may be minimal.

“I have a lot of family in Wyoming that I spend summers with, and I have an aunt that has a huge garden and stuff like that,” Jefferson Senior Zoe Hall said.

“I’ve never really been like, involved in a ton of farming stuff. I have ridden horses since I was five years old, so that’s like kind of farm-ish, but not super farm-y,” homeschool sophomore, Moriah Lincoln said.

But the farm is coming to them this semester, as CTE has a sow and her 14 piglets in its large animal science class…
