Las Vegas man arrested 36 times accused of operating financial forgery lab, stealing mail month after release

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 36-time offender arrested about a month after a clash between police and the courts over his release in a prior crime, allegedly stole mail using a shaved key, operated a financial forgery lab, and left methamphetamine out in a home with eight children, according to an arrest report.

Joshua Sanchez-Lopez, 36, is a convicted felon who most recently served prison time on drug and involuntary manslaughter charges, according to records. In court paperwork filed with the Nevada Supreme Court, Metro said his record includes 35 arrests.

On Thursday, March 12, the 8 News Now Investigators first reported on the clash between police and the Las Vegas Justice Court over the authority to declare a defendant too dangerous.
