LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Henderson Police helped a local senior recover $500,000 in savings and gold after scammers threatened her with jail time.
As HPD officials see the rise in scam attempts across the city and the valley, leaders are warning locals and seniors of the wide variety of tactics thieves use to prey on people.
“We’re seeing fraud increasing throughout our valley and specifically in the Henderson Police Department. We’ve been out there spreading the message with community outreach trainings, and even with communicating with folks on a quarterly basis or monthly basis. It’s still not enough,” said Lt.
