Gusty southwesterly winds developing Friday afternoon will precede showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms moving into the Lehigh Valley Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds will peak at 25 to 35 mph Friday afternoon before diminishing in the evening as showers develop. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid 60s during the day, with milder air heading northward ahead of an approaching cold front.
