Man wanted on multiple charges arrested after months-long investigation, search warrant in Jefferson County

LEEDS, Ala. (WBRC) – One person has been arrested after a months long investigation involving multiple agencies, Leeds Police say.

Leeds authorities say the Leeds Special Investigations Unit, along with the Leeds SWAT team, Jefferson County Star One, and Irondale Police SWAT, completed a narcotics investigation after they executed a search warrant at the home of Joshua Hester in the area of 7700 Sunrise Circle March, 4.

Authorities say during the search, they recovered fentanyl, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia. Officials say they also found multiple firearms, two of which had been reported stolen out of Birmingham, including one firearm that was a non-serialized 5.56, commonly known as a “ghost gun”…
