Birmingham nonprofit reports construction equipment stolen from park renovation project

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A nonprofit renovating abandoned tennis courts at Fountain Heights Park reported construction equipment missing from the site Friday morning.

Athletic Alabama has been raising money for two years to transform the tennis courts at Fountain Heights Park. A friend loaned the organization a skid steer to make the project possible.

Jackie Miller, president of Athletic Alabama, said the group left the Kubota skid steer at the park Thursday around 3 p.m. and returned Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. to find it gone…
