School Board Approves Future Use for Cherokee HS

The Cherokee County School Board on Thursday night fulfilled a promise to reopen Canton Elementary School and made a milestone decision about the future use of the current Cherokee High School campus.

The Board at its regular meeting considered the future use of the current Cherokee High School campus and unanimously voted to renovate the current Cherokee North to reconstitute it as an elementary school and reopen it in August 2028 as Canton Elementary School.
