Suspect accused of killing person in triple shooting at birthday party in North Carolina found

LILLINGTON, N.C. (WNCN) — A wanted murder suspect who eluded law enforcement for roughly nine months has been arrested by the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office, officials announced Thursday.

The arrest stems from a shooting that killed one and injured two othersjust after 11:35 p.m. on June 21, 2025, at a birthday party of at least 100 people on Bethea Road just south of Lillington. Following the late-night shooting in the Shawtown community, it took just three days for investigators to secure warrants for Christionn Morquise Bristow, 25, of Lillington.

For the death of 48-year-old Yoashica McKeithan, and the injuries sustained by two other victims, a 30-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, Bristow was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and felony conspiracy, Harnett County deputies said.
