Fire breaks out inside Providence auto repair shop

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway into a fire that tore through an auto repair shop in Providence Friday night.

Deputy Assistant Fire Chief Craig Grantham told 12 News firefighters were called to Batista Auto Repair off Warrington Street after receiving reports of a fire inside the building.

Grantham said the owner of the repair shop told them there was an electric vehicle inside, which changed their approach to battling the flames…
