Man arrested after stabbing in Bay Park

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A suspect was arrested following a stabbing in the Bay Park neighborhood that left one person injured Friday night, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened around 10:11 p.m. in the 4100 block of Ingulf Street, where a verbal argument between two adult men escalated into violence.

Investigators say the dispute turned physical before the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Sydney Mondt, allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim once in the neck. Bystanders at the scene intervened and were able to restrain Mondt until officers arrived…
