A directed patrol near 41st and J streets ended in a brief foot chase and an arrest on March 14, after Sacramento police say they spotted a man who looked a lot like the suspect in a recent run of commercial break-ins. He allegedly tried to bolt. Officers say he did not get far.

Police say the suspect matched their description
The Sacramento Police Department identified the suspect as 23-year-old Arthur Jasper. He was arrested on allegations tied to 11 commercial burglaries and was wanted on five outstanding felony burglary warrants, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Officers reported that Jasper was wearing distinctive clothing that matched descriptions from earlier incidents. When they tried to contact him, he allegedly ran, but officers say they caught and detained him shortly after. Police say they found burglary tools, gloves, shoes and a backpack that matched items seen in surveillance from previous break-ins.
