Sarasota County man, injured bird form inseparable bond, share adventures on TikTok

SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) — After his dad died, Zach Turpin of Nokomis was having a rough year. Soon after he moved to the Suncoast, his dog died, too. Then, an injured bird limped into his life, and now they are inseparable.

“Man, I was just sitting outside drinking coffee at 8:30 on a Sunday, and this bird just shows up out of nowhere and he was in bad shape,” explains Zach about how Buddy found him. “This cat must’ve got him and ripped a hole in his chest.”

Zach offered him some coffee, brought him inside and gave him food and water. He brought the bird to a veterinarian, who put a cone on his neck and a vest on his chest. Then Zach tried to find the owner.
