Florida men arrested for trafficking fentanyl in Tampa area

FORT MYERS, Florida — Two men from Seffner have been arrested on charges of trafficking fentanyl and conspiracy to traffic in fentanyl, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Hector Manuel Rosa, 48, and David Gonzalez-Sanchez, 36, were apprehended following an investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in the Tampa area. The investigation led to the seizure of more than 40,000 fentanyl pills, with an estimated street value of $2 million, stated the FDLE.

Gonzalez-Sanchez was arrested on March 12 and taken to the Polk County Jail, while Rosa was arrested on March 17 and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the Tampa Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Drug Enforcement Administration assisted in the investigation…
