PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Owens Community College has launched a new cardiac sonography program aimed at addressing a growing shortage of trained heart imaging specialists in northwest Ohio.
Local hospitals approached the college to help fill a critical staffing gap for cardiac sonographers — medical professionals who use ultrasound technology to examine the heart and help detect cardiovascular disease.
